We have been planning, constructing and maintaining trails since 1998 because we love mountain biking and hiking.
Trails are a testimony to our unique cultural landscape. Ever since humans first settled in the Alpine region, they have been creating countless paths to transport goods from A to B, to bring cattle to pastures and alpine fields, and to get from one valley to the next. We still move along these historical routes today – even if we’re often not aware of it.
For the most part, however, use of these trails has changed considerably. The transport routes are now used for recreational activities. The entire network of hiking trails in Switzerland covers about 65’000 km and enables mountain bikers and hikers to explore our countryside.
Current projects and news:
St. Gallen – Waldeggtrail
The only official MTB trail in the city of St. Gallen and the surrounding area has now been completed. The upper sections have a natural character. The lowest sector, on the other hand, resembles a bike park and invites you to jump sessions with its generously dimensioned jumps.

La Thuile – UCI Downhill World Cup
On 3 to 5 July 2025, the UCI MTB Worldseries will stop in La Thuile in the Aosta Valley (IT). Our employees had great fun working on this route. It’s going to be steep, it’s going to be fast, it’s going to be huge. Loïc Bruni and Loris Vergier have already tested the course and are delighted.

Fully VS – Bikepark
With a blue and black skill trail, a jumpline, a black enduro trail and several uphill trails of different difficulty levels, the Fully Bikepark offers a meeting place that delights the local bike scene.

Lötschental – Anenhütte
Renovation of the hiking trails around the Anenhütte in Lötschental VS. In staggered operations, partial and complete sections were optimised and made more accessible and sustainable for hikers.

Vercorin – Crêt-du-Midi
A two-kilometre-long mountain bike trail with challenging elements, side hits and jumps is currently being set up in Vercorin. Completion of the route is expected in mid-2024. You can find more trails constructed by the Trailworks team here.

Couvet – Creux du Van
For the canton of Neuchâtel, we carried out the planning for the design of viewpoints and the channelling of hikers at the popular hiking destination of Creux du Van. The construction work was completed in August 2024.

Blenio – Nara Blackwoodline
Between ‘Alpe di Nara’ at 1937 metres above sea level and the valley station at around 1500 metres above sea level, a 3.7-kilometre-long bike trail of medium difficulty was created in the Blenio Valley. Here you can get an overview of the bike trails we have built so far.
